Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu uses strong, deep tissue pressure and stretching to promote health and spiritual well-being. We analyzed the finger movements of professional Shiatsu massage therapists in order to replicate this highly developed, firm style of massage. When in this mode, the Swede-Atsu technology uses only two rollers, or heads, to recreate the Shiatsu massaging motions.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a delicate style of massage designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and gently rubbing in the same direction as the flow of the blood returning to the heart. This massage therapy stimulates the skin and nervous system. To simulate Swedish-style massage and replicate the feeling of a masseur's palms, the Swede-Atsu chair uses four rollers.
